English Exam Reflection
May 17th
What can I improve on?
I should practice my spelling because I had two spelling mistakes on words that were reasonably easy, practicing putting my paragraphs, sentences and words in to past tense and present tense for the finishing sentence/paragraph. Also I should check if my words are formal or informal. All of these things involved checking and I checked except maybe I should’ve gone a bit slower so that I didn’t make those mistakes.
How can I do it/Achieve my goals?
I will achieve my goals by reading more news articles (or any articles) to improve on formal and informal words, my past and present words/grammar and also for my spelling. Another way I can improve, is by reading different things (wherever and it can be anything) and picking out words I don’t understand or I don’t know, I will search it up and then try writing the words in different sentences and also on their own to try and get the spelling correct. Also it will give me more vocabulary to choose from.

English film study
May 3rd
In english we are studying about the different types of angles you can film from and what makes a good film. For our first activity in the unit, we got partnered up with people from our class and we had to take a quick film of two scenes that we came up with (it didn’t have to have any talking and I was partnered up with Eddie) and we had to film them from a high angle and a low angle. The homework for after this task was we had to take two-three screenshots (One high angle and one low angle) of our scene and write a blog post. These are my photos:
The thing that worked was we mainly got all our shots correct meaning that we got a high angle a low angle and an action shot except it deleted itself somehow. We did this so that for our final assessment we can film from different angles and get a good grade also if we go in to the movie making business we can make a really good movie. Before we learned this I didn’t know what a high angle or what a low angle shot was.

Mystery book podcast
Apr 27th
In English, the unit we have just finished the unit on mystery books. The final assessment task was to make a podcast review on the mystery book we read. I read ”After the Funeral” by Agatha Christie.
This unit affected my speaking because I am used to talking in front of small groups of about sixteen people and this was going to be listened to all over the world so I got a bit nervous. I also thought that I learnt more from working with others because they could correct your speech or grammar and it would improve your podcast. I think that next time I could improve on having my podcast script more organized, not talking about the plot as much, not using slang, avoiding background noises and using more vocabulary because I kept on saying ‘also’.
Here is the podcast if you would like to listen to it:

Da-da-da- DAH!
“We were looking at the factory at night-time when no one was around, when we heard a pole fall. Footsteps followed. They got closer and louder and closer and louder, then the shape cam out. A big, hairy, NINJA!
