Grade 6

Hello everyone! If you are wandering why I am posting the same post I am not. In fact this is the same thing just a different time period. This is my Showcase portfolio for semesters three and four. Basically this online portfolio is going to show the work I have done for the past two semesters.

Goals

My goals for semesters three and four were the same as semesters one and two which are I would like to make my writing neater because sometimes I feel that people can’t really read what I write. My second goal is to get more organized sometimes I am just a little bit late to class (like one or two minutes) and so I really want to improve. Also I forget my homework at home sometimes, and finally my third goal, I would like to put more detail into my work because I tend to make things a little plain and I want to be one of those people who makes things stand out and not makes things boring so putting more detail into my work and also more effort. For making my writing neater I think that it has improved quite a bit since the beginning of the year. I haven’t been late to class or forgotten my homework in a while and also I feel like my work is a lot better and that I am putting a lot more effort into it. I met these goals by trying to figure out ways I could improve then I put those methods into practice. The way that I made my writing get neater was by writing the letters in all different styles till’ I found one that I liked. After I’d practiced that one style over and over again it eventually improved my writing.
Spanish

In spanish, I think that I have improved a lot more than the beginning of the year. One of the things that I did well in spanish was that I always brought my homework to class on time and I got reasonably good scores on tests. I still find it hard to translate things but it is something that I am working on.

English

I thought that I did really well on my greek gods presentation in english. I got a good progress report because I got 10 10 9 which is almost full scores. I would have gotten full scores except I used to many hand gestures. I also got a good grade in the Indiana Jones presentation. I got the same as the greek gods presentation and I think that I would’ve gotten full scores if my speech wasn’t to short or if I stopped stuttering.

Science

In science I got a good grade on the flower project. For this project we had to learn the different parts of a flower and we had to show how it survives.

Drama

Something that I thought was fun was when we did our dance in drama. My group was Juulia, Kate and Sophia and we tried to do a japanese mythical story but with a pop type of song. The song we used was Glad You Came by The Wanted the instrumental version. I think that we used a range of patterns and that we made our dance look really cool.

Technology

Something that I learned from was in technology because I learnt how to make a good tutorial and what makes a good tutorial. Also I learnt how to draw a cartoon dinosaur. I thought that my tutorial was really cool and that the effects made it look even better.

I included all of these pieces of work because I thought that these were the pieces that I strived in to make them good. I am proud of all of these assignments and I am especially proud of the amount of effort that I put into them. I hope that all my other classmates managed to achieve their goals.
