Bullying is using a superior strength or possibly influence to intimidate someone which forces the person being bullied to do the the bully wants them to do. Bully’s are made not born.
Ways to deal with bullying is that you should know when to walk away and try not to be intimidated by them. Don’t get all angry and start a fight because that is all that the bully wants is to see you being aggravated and then they know that they are succeeding and that you are a easy target so they will just keep on bullying you. Try to stay with people if you are being bullied because bully’s don’t often pick on people if they are in a group. If the bullying gets serious like there is punching and stuff then you should probably tell someone because they can help you before you get hurt. Tell someone like a parent, teacher, guidance counselor.
Some reasons why people bully are:
Having family problems
Being bullied themselves
Being selfish or spoilt and always want to get their own way
Having no friends and feel lonely
Feeling bad about themselves and want to make other feel bad too
Taking out their own frustration on others
Feeling insecure and unimportant – bullying gives them power
Not understanding how bad victims feel
I think that depending on how bad the bully has been should be based on his consequences,
but i think that if I were to give a punishment, i would say internal suspension or a lot of detention.
Bullying is a big issue in the world because many people go into depression and then they start harming themselves. Everybody always says that a bully becomes a bully because of the parents. Sometimes that is the case but most of the time it isn’t. A you are more likely to become a bully by being bullied from your past or you are being bullied by someone or black mailed. My point is, is that there are many ways to become a bully but why do you bully other people if you don’t like being bullied.

My SMART goals at the beginning of the year were to get more organised, hand in my homework on time and try and get the best scores I possibly can.
I have worked towards achieving my SMART goals by studying, doing homework the night I get it and making sure that I get rid of the trash or things that I don’t need in my locker.
To achieve my SMART goals by the end of the semester, I must work harder, be consistent with my homework and clean my locker more often.
I have demonstrated being a open minded this year by sharing my ideas with others.
I have demonstrated being a risk-taker this year by answering questions that I didn’t know the answer to and I ended up getting them right so I am now more confident.
I have demonstrated being a communicator this year by talking to people that I don’t know very well.
On field studies I demonstrated being a principled student by helping my roommates clean up the room and by making sure they’re not too loud for other people sleeping.
On field studies I demonstrated being a communicator by always talking to different people.
On field studies I demonstrated being a inquirer by asking a lot of questions so that I don’t get the task or anything wrong.
I think my tutor group members would describe me as hyper (in a good way)
I think my tutor would describe me as wierd.
How have I made YIS a better place this semester?
Because I have teamed up in the student council so I help people if they are having problems
If you were a teacher and you had to write a report about yourself, what would you write. Talk about yourself in third person and discuss your strengths and weaknesses.
In tutor we are doing an activity where we have to find images from creative commons to make a collage using picmonkey.For my images I chose images of fun, relaxing, activities and helping the community.

My three second semester goals are to work on making my writing neater because I think that some teachers find it hard to read. Also to get more organized because I sometimes had my work in late and the teachers don’t like it so I am going to add all assignments to my google calendar. And last but not least, I want to be more specific in my work for example in technology class, I would like to have more detail on what we are doing in class and in to my reflections. I hope that I can achieve these goals because then I will be really happy to have succeeded in something.

Today in tutor group we played a game called Chinese Whispers. We played the game because it shows what spreading rumors is. In this blog post we have to find a picture about spreading rumors and say why it’s so bad to spread rumors. This is the picture I chose:
When we played the game at the end, it always ended up being a completely different sentence to the one that we started out with.
I think that this relates to spreading rumors because the thing that the person said can turn out to be a whole new thing.
The title of this blog post is Janus because he is the god beginnings, endings and doorways. Janus is the god of all of these things because he has two heads. There is a picture of him down below.
this post is about what I thought of the first semester of middle school, and what I think the new year is going to be like.
Last year I thought that everything went really nicely and our classes didn’t have any fights but the new year is going to have many doorways that lead to a better life where we have learnt more and better new things. But going through those doorways will have some challenges, but you just need to face them and try your best to exceed in every possible way.
My goal for this year is to speak up more in class because I feel like I don’t answer many questions in class so I want to be a better communicator.
If I were an MYP teacher the subjects that I would want to teach would be Humanities and PE
The unit question that I would make up/choose would be ”Why do natural disaster occur and is there a way we can control or prevent some dangers?”. The students would make models and keynote presentations of what natural disaster can do if we don’t act (when I say act I mean if we don’t become more cautious of our country, planet or area) and the damage and how it affects the human race. This unit that I’m describing would probably be related to science because we study about the tectonic plates and the ring of fire, how earthquakes are caused, etc. The area of inquiry would be environments because humanities is part of studying about environments and also human ingenuity because humanities is basically history so we study about early humans and inventions that changed human lives.
The unit question that I would choose or PE would be ”Why should I learn all these skills just to play a sport?”. I chose that question because it would make people think and possibly try to learn more about it. For a project I would take them up in pairs of two or single so that they can show the skills that they’ve learnt and also I’d make them right a reflection about why it is important to use those skills and when you would use them. The area of learning would be approaches to learning because in PE you need to learn the basics before you get serious with the sport.
