Hi Charlotte, interesting presentation. I would have loved to have heard more about the working of the brain – I didn’t know that one side heated up! Did any of your research tell you how it is that some people are able to change their habits permanently? What are their “tricks”? What habits might we have to change if we are to make a difference to global warming?

Interesting information about gold Charlotte and a good overview of the benefits and harms that occur. You might be interested to hear that Botswana is an African country that has used the money it receives from its gold mines really well to build schools, hospitals and roads. This is because the government is not corrupt, that is it does not steal the money that it receives to use for private purposes.

Hi Charlotte, Happy New Year! Interesting assignment, thanks for posting it. Chemistry is really important to the way our bodies work because it’s how we use food to run our systems. I didn’t realise this when I was studying chemistry at high school or I would have been more interested in it! Thanks for explaining the difference between elements and compounds.

Thanks for sharing your end product and all the work that went into making your film. Learning how to learn, learning how to research, evaluate options and plan your work are invaluable lessons and skills that Grandpa and I still use every day. It’s hard to judge how long some things are going to take when we’re doing them for the first time, so it’s important to allocate time so that there’s a little extra in case it’s needed!! I loved your script and your film.
