It can make people relax and calm. Most of Japanese people is calm and caring each other. I think meditation impacts  Buddhism  life because ,meditating is how they controlled they feeling. They feel calm, thinking deeply. They are free of negative feelings like anger or fear.

Metals

In science class, we read an article. I read “Deep-Sea Mud Of Pacific Ocean Abundant In Rare Metals” article about mining rare-earth metals from deep-sea. I learned a lot in this article.

This article is saying, there are lots of rare metals like lanthanum, neodymium, and the metal yttrium in the sea. People need those metals because often we use those elements when we made iPads and Kindles but we should stop mining them because if you keep doing, it will require deep earth mining, it is not good for the ocean.

this is connected to science because it’s about mining rare metals, so they get some sampled, and they give sampled to scientists, they look at the sampled and they describe about that metals. Also they think about how it affects to the world.

This article talks about mining rare metals, it affects the world environmentally and economically because you need to be ready for mining and it take a long time to go get there, so you need to spend money, also it was not good to ocean and nature.

this is good for people because they can get metals easily (because now they know how to find), but it was not good for the planet because when mining people mining it means destroying thing, so it destroying the ocean. I think it is not good because we destroying natural, it was not easy to get back and planet lost their places.

Multiple Intelligence Test

I agree because I’m good at remember things visually and I enjoy drawing. Also I like to play instruments and listening music.

Spatial
4
Spatial: You remember things visually, including exact sizes and shapes of objects. You like posters, charts, and graphics. You like any kind of visual clues. You enjoy drawing. Effective techniques of enhancing your learning using your spatial intelligence include creating and/or using pictures, maps, diagrams, and graphs as you learn things. Other suggestions:

  • Write a language experience story and then illustrate it.
  • Color code words so each syllable is a different color.
  • Write a word on the blackboard with a wet finger. Visualize the word as it disappears. See if you can spell it afterwards.
  • Take a survey. Put the information in a chart.
  • Write words vertically.
  • Cut out words from a magazine and use them in a letter.
  • Visualize spelling words.
  • Use colorful newspapers like USA Today.
  • Use crossword puzzles.

Self
3.29
Self: You have a very good sense of self. You like to spend time by yourself and think things over. You will often take in information from another person, mull it over by yourself, and come back to that person later to discuss it. You like working on projects on your own. You often prefer to learn by trial and error. Effective techniques to enhance your learning include keeping a journal and giving yourself time to reflect on new ideas and information. More ideas:

  • Go on “guided imagery” tours.
  • Set aside time to reflect on new ideas and information.
  • Encourage journal writing.
  • Work on the computer.
  • Practice breathing for relaxation.
  • Use brainstorming methods before reading.
  • Listen to and read “how to” tapes and books.
  • Read cookbooks.

Musical
2.86
Musical: You like the rhythm and sound of language. You like poems, songs, and jingles. You enjoy humming or singing along with music. You probably remember things well when they are associated with music or rhythm. Try to incorporate sounds into your lessons, such as using a familiar tune, song, or rap beat to teach spelling rules, or to remember words in a series for a test. Here are some other ways to use your musical intelligence:

  • Create a poem with an emphasis on certain sounds for pronunciation.
  • Clap out or walk out the sounds of syllables.
  • Read together (choral reading) to work on fluency and intonation.
  • Read a story with great emotion — sad, then happy, then angry. Talk about what changes — is it only tone?
  • Work with words that sound like what they mean (onomatopoeia). For example: sizzle, cuckoo, smash.
  • Read lyrics to music.
  • Use music as background while reviewing and for helping to remember new material.
  • Use rhymes to remember spelling rules, i.e., “I before E except after C.”

Science Assessment Reflection

For science I made a poster about Zinc. I talk about “why/when we use zinc?”, “How do we get zinc?”, “We need to use zinc more?” and we need to put MLA. In this unit I learned about my metal Zinc, and how effect on the world like when they mining. Next time I need to put my MLA in alphabetical order. Also I need to put some more details and when In use  scientific words I need to understand that words more. I think i did a good job at saying how we use the metal. Over all I am very happy for my score!

stereotype

Last Drama class we talk about Stereotypes

What does stereotype mean?

Stereotypes is first received idea or image about a person or character’s visual(how they looks like, what are they wearing, gesture and more). For example, all girls like makeup and pink, all boys like sports and blue.

When are stereotypes useful?

Stereotypes can be useful for improvisation(suddenly). It was good when you have audition or you quickly need to understand the characters. For example, when you have audition suddenly you got a script you need to

Can you judge a book by it’s cover?

NO, because you don’t know exactly who they are, they might be really kind even they looks like scary. People has their layers so you shouldn’t judge a book by cover. But you can think about yourself who they are.
