# Using Ratios To Estimate Sizes :3

Currently in math class we have been learning about ratios, First we measured the computer we got exactly 30 Lately, in math class we’ve been studying on ratios. Because we got some knowledge about ratios after doing one assessment, we started to use our understanding on another (pre)assessment.

So I partnered up with Amane. Then chose any 2 different sized objects, measure the size of the smaller sized object and estimate the length of the other object we chose using the knowledge of ratios. We decided that we should estimate the length of the macbook air we use at school with a 3cm(length) eraser.

Since taking a photo and editing it to make it easier and accurate to estimate the length of the bigger object we made the picture on the very top using pages. By looking at it we estimated that the the length of the eraser compared to the macbook air would be about 1:9.

That means that to figure out the size of the macbook air we need to multiply 4 and 9.

4 × 9 = 36

Estimation of macbook air’s length: 36cm

After we estimated the length(36cm), we measured the macbook air to check the real length of it. As a result, we figured out that the macbook air’s length is about 30cm long. Our estimation wasn’t right because the result was 6cm over yet I think it was pretty close.

as u can see on the title Mr.Fedley is forcing us to write this boring blog post.. and he also even forced us to write the title … which is also boring 😛

percentages is a useful thing to use in real life like in shopping if they have a sale they can say how much less money it costs like 50% off or 30% off.

For a simple example I made this.. If Mr.Fedley has a chocolate cake and split it up into 6 parts and a cat came along and stole 3 parts of it this is how you would figure out how much of the cake she stole from Mr.fedley…

So the cat stole 50% percent of Mr.feldey’s PRECIOUS CAKE!~

If I had 8 Cheetos and 3 of them turned out to be fake,…

# Venn diagram story!

In math class we had to make a venn diagram story I did it with a group, Amane and ryouko. It was fun but it was pretty hard coming up with a story i think. 🙂
