In our tech lessons we have been learning about how we can make a successful blog. First Mrs Cofino asked us how much we know about making a blog. after she examined what we knew she asked us to look at different blogs that she had put on her blog and make a list on what things made the blog look neat, attractive and interesting. In the next class we made a brainstorm for what we wanted are blog to be about. I think we did this because we already know ways to make are blog neat and attracting and to know what are blog is about. It is important to know what your blog is going to be about.
In my blog I want to share my adventures through all my travels that I am going to have and to share daily things that happen in my life. I will also put posts about what I learn in my classes science, humanities e.g. I hope My blog represents myself and the things I do so I can share what I do with other people, I also hope that my blog will be good enough for all the criterias.
When we researched on the blogs Mrs Cofino recommended eventually as a class we decided which things should be in a blog.
I thought these things are very important,
1. Easy to read and have good contrast.
2. Staying on topic, and being interesting.
3. Post Daily
In are blog research we learned that the words should be easily read. We also need to have good contrast, which means that there shouldn’t be just one color but not 50 colors, for example maybe just red, green and blue. You should also make sure that all your posts are interesting and related to what blog is about. Finally your blog should have a pictures. But be careful you don’t just want picture in your posts you should have some text as well. you should also upload posts weeklyI think that one of the most important thing about a blog that you have everything look neat, for example if you didn’t have categories and if someone wanted to find something on your blog or wanted to revisit one of your post in a hurry they would not be able to. If you make categories it will be a lot easier for people in the world to find thing in your blog. another thing that I think is important is about how and what you write in your posts. you don’t want to write TOO casually but don’t make it academic
Overall I think the way I am going to make a successful blog is by making sure other people can read and understand all my posts, having my posts organised by using categories. I think that you can’t always update your blog, but you shouldn’t leave your blog alone for long, otherwise people will really get bored. I am going to approach this by not just putting random posts that are really boring. If I have lots of things that happen to me that are interesting then I will post them, if not then I wait until something does happen. If I go on holiday I will probably take a break on blogging and when I come back make a post about what I did. I am going to make sure I have pictures in my posts by taking pictures of my travels myself and whenever I do anything. I am going to make sure I have good contrast by finding colours that fit together.

On the first night on camp we slept in tents. I had never slept in a tent before. It was awesome except there was four people in one tent and the floor was hard. Eventually we slept. We slepted for about 5 hours until we were woke up because of Shaolun. The problem was that it is really easy to hear people talking even if you are in your tent.
Then about one hour later James woke up because his watch was showing the wrong time. His watch was showing 6 o’clock, but it was in fact 1 o’clock in the morning. I thought about getting really angry for waking me up but I realised I should be principled an just tell them politely that we should get some sleep because we will need it for the following day.

Before we went canoeing we did some rock climbing. We went on a micro bus to the site to rock climb. I thought that the rock climbing wall would only be like 15 meters high or something, but I was shocked to find out that it was in fact 30 meters high! I was really scared. But I knew that I should be a risk-taker by trying to do it.
When I had started it had seemed quite easy, but when I had got quite high I had lost my nerve, I tried really hard to keep on going but I couldn’t do it.
After a while I was waiting to try other parts of the wall I saw Shion try one of the walls, she didn’t seem that confident, Mrs Hamada asked how far she wanted to go, she pointed at the end of one meter. In fact she climbed all the way to the top! I told Mrs Hamada that this is really a good example of being a risk-taker. After that long experience we began are canoeing experience.

On monday Adam Giewitz came to our school. We all went to auditorium to listen to what he had to say. First he introduced himself. Then he told us a story called the jerboa tree. It was interesting because its one of those fairy tales that you don’t know about.
It was about a husband and wife, they lived happy life but they did not have a child. One day the wife is cutting an apple under their Jerboa tree when by accident she cuts her thum. her blood falls onto the white snow. She then says that she wishs That she had a son as white as snow and as red as blood. Then Several months later the wife gives birth to the boy,but she dies in the proccess. So the husband remarries. his new wife has her daughter as well. but there was one problem. the step mother hates the boy. one day he ask his new mother if he can have an apple. she say yes and says he take one out of the chest. he leans his little head over the chest and then….. SLAM she close the chest up. His head was cut off. then she takes the body and puts his body on a chair outside the house and puts his head back on. then she puts an apple in his hand
Later in the day His sister comes a long. she say to him,”can I have that apple”,she said. No reply. she tells her mum. she says that if he doesn’t answer next time slap him. so of course he doesn’t answer. when she slaps him his head falls off. She thinks she has killed him! her mother comes in and says your father would be outraged! but if you hide the body he won’t. so they take all the organs out of his body and his mother starts to make a stew out of them. the girl take the rest of the body and puts it under the Jerboa tree. The father comes in and eats the stew. the next day the father sees a bird. the bird was singing! it said how the boy died: My mother killed me, my sister put my body under the tree, my father ate my organs. the father thought this was the most beatiful song that he had ever heard, he wanted it to sing it again. the bird flew of the blacksmiths shop. he sings the song again. the blacksmith this was a beatiful song and ask the bird to sing it again. Bird say I will sing it, if you give me the finest of your chains. the blacksmith get his finest of all his chains and gives it to the bird. the bird sings it again. Then the bird flys of to the mill and the shoe shop. from the shoe shop he gets a pair of shoes and from the mill he gets the a large stone. he comes back to the house were the boy died. he sings the song again. the father couldn’t stand it anymore and rushes out side. the bird gives him the chain. then the girl whom he gives the shoes and finally the mother comes out and he drops the large stone on top of her. then out of the Jerboa tree comes the boy again! and they live happily ever after. I thought this story was interesting as well as insane in some parts of it.
In the late afternoon we went to loft to learn how to make a good story. I learned that your character must be someone that your audience will like. Then you need know where he is before any of the action. After that your character needs to have a small problem in his daily life. Then the most important part of the story, a catalyst. The catalyst is when something happens to make the story start to happen. One thing that I didn’t know is that almost the whole book is covered by the adventure. After you have the adventure there must be some kind of “all is lost moment”. then you get to the climax where you wrap up the story.

On the second day of our grade 6 field studies We went canoeing. I was with Ryu and Shaolun. It was really fun!…. But there was one problem. When we had got onto the canoe we couldn’t control it. The problem was that we were not working together. We started of head straight into the middle of the lake. Even though we had no sense of direction it was still fun. Then shaolun thought about a cunning plan. If someone told us when we should pull with our rows then we can go in the right direction. Shaolun communicated when we should row. Eventually we caught up to the people in the front. It was going smooth until we stopped for a little swim. When we finished swimming we had the problem of getting everyone on the boat…. and that Shaolun had lost one of his shoes!
Ryu was a mixed blessing. Very strong , but what comes strength comes weight. The first time we tryed to put everyone on the boat the boat flipped. We found out that first we should put Ryu in first, then shaolun, then me. That worked fine for the first stop, but the next stop we did the same thing, except that I couldn’t get on! we had to take the boat to some rocks and make it stable enough for me to get on. After that long Canoeing journey we finally started to return to the campsite.
