Eye Dissection

In science we dissected a pig’s eye. Here are the parts of the eye that we found:

Here is a basic explanation of how the eye works:

The light comes in through the Cornea, then the lens bends the light. The light then goes into the Pupil. When the light hits the Retina at the back of the eye, the Retina , makes the image into a signal that can be sent through the optic nerve, and into the Brain where the image is translated from the little signals into the image that you actually see. The Brain also flips the image from upside down, when it enters the Brain, to right side up.
