Coconut oil (Superfood)

Superfoods are foods which make us healthy, live longer, and have a lot of vitamins. Most superfoods are usually natural ingredients and vegetables/fruits, although there are exceptions. The most well-known superfood is blueberries. Blueberries have a lot of important nutrients and vitamins. However, many of the superfoods are fake. They advertise themselves as if they are very healthy and have a lot of vitamins, but this is not always true. Most could be easily replaced by common fruits such as bananas and oranges. This means that you would be wasting money on the superfood when you can be buying healthier foods for a cheaper price. Using the word “super” may be misleading to people who are buying it because it makes the food sound good without people considering whether it is real or fake. This means that people wouldn’t get the appropriate superfood that helps them. Buying fake superfoods could be dangerous because if people buy the fake superfood to cure diseases, it won’t help them but instead wasting money on it.

The superfood I chose is coconut oil. These are some of the effects of coconut oil:
1. Coconut oil has a special type of fat called medium chain triglycerides. This type of fat is healthier for your body than the regular type of fat found in foods like butter. Medium chain triglycerides can also help you lose weight.
2. When applied to the skin, coconut oil has a moisturizing effect.
3. It cures a lot of diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and breast cancer.
4. Coconut oil also helps with hair care. Coconut oil can be found in conditioners and makes hair shiny.

I compared coconut oil to olive oil because I thought they were similar types of oil. The fat content and amount of Kcal were very similar. Olive oil has 100g of fat per 100g while coconut oil has 99.06g of fat per 100g. Olive oil has 884 kcal per 100g, and coconut oil has 892kcal per 100g. These are very similar. These two foods also have 2 types of vitamin- vitamin K and vitamin E. Vitamin K helps with building strong bones and Vitamin E helps protect cells from damage. Olive oil has 60.2g per 100g of vitamin K while coconut oil has only 0.6g per 100g of Vitamin K. Olive oil has 14.35g per 100g of Vitamin E while coconut oil has 0.11g per 100g. The Olive oil definitely beat the coconut oil when it came to vitamins but the coconut oil has more uses. I think it’s very strange that the olive oil has more vitamins than coconut oil but is not considered a superfood. I still think that coconut oil is better because it helps with dieting, has a moisturizing effect, cures diseases and helps hair care.

Henry Jones is a doctor during the industrial Revolution. He thinks that children should be working the way they currently are right now. Every Morning he walks around the town admiring how the children are working at the factories and that they are healthy. He always feels like they are doing their best and are happy because they are always smiling. He went to ask the factories if their children are healthy and happy, they said that their children have become healthier as time past from the first time they came here. He also asked a couple of children if they are healthy, they said that they are happy and healthy. They also said that they are getting stronger and powerful even when they are very young.





Child Labour Helping Kids in Society


In the factories that use child labor, they are always happy about their health conditions and having friends with them. In the factories, they serve balanced meals like meat, vegetables, bread, water, and sometimes fish. The children get three meals a day and get rests at every meal. They become healthier from when they first come because of the better food. They also get stronger because they move heavy things when they are young. When they grow up, they become stronger than usual and also they can get different jobs because they are healthy, strong, and happy. Even the factory owners in real life said they were generally healthy. Child labor is good for this kind of aspects in society and for children.
