  1. Goosebumps

I read GooseBumps the mummy by R.L. Stine. The story was really good because it is very scary and mysterious. The boy from the book is my favourite character because he is brave and smart. He was in a major trouble but luckily he past through the horror. I read most of the books from Goosebumps and I will keep reading Goosebumps books. I will recommend this to Alvin because he likes scary books especially Goosebumps.

  2. Wayside School Is Falling Down

The best book I read recently is called “Wayside School Is Falling Down” by Louis Sachar. I really like this book because it is very funny and it makes the readers want to read more. There is this character called Louis. I like this character because the school got closed by some problems but louised started fixing the school, Louis fixed the school after 243 days. I would to love to read more of these books because I really like the ideas in each chapter’s and it’s funny. I would rate this book 9 out of 10 because there is something missing but I don’t know what it is. I would add more mystery and cliff hanger to this book. I would recommend this book to people that likes funny books.

  3. The best book I read over the winter break was “The Witches” from Roald Dahl. The Book was about a boy that turned into a mice because of evil witches. It was very fun to read because of all the unique characters.
My Favourite character was Grandma because she was wise and knew the witches secrets. I would rate it a 9 out of 10 because it was very fun to read. The Last 1 point is for more pictures because it is never bad to have a lot of pictures in books. I would prefer this book to all kinds of readers. For example, it would be a perfect book for medium level readers because it isn’t too hard or too easy. I think this book is a really good book for people who like other Roald Dahl books.

  4. The best book that I read in Winter break was The 12 Screams of Christmas by R.L Stine.

I like this book because it gave me the creeps and gave me nightmares for a long time.

I recommend this book to kids that likes horror and some action! I recommend this book because I never thought about Christmas Horror and It was so interesting. I think this book is good for 9-10 years old.

  5. I read the book Samurai the way of the warrior in german.

The good part about it was exciting, thrilling and cool.

What I enjoyed most about it was when Jack the main character does a competition and he has to do a fight without weapons and beats the other guy with a cool kick.

A character which I find was awesome in the book was a really good sword fighter in Japan called Masamoto who won against his opponent who had two swords and he didn’t have any.

Yes I would like to continue this series because it’s cool.

I would rate it 10 out of a 10 it was really good.

I would recommended to some of my friends in German class I don’t know if it is in English.

  6. Books I read during the winter holidays

During the winter holidays I read a book called “The Enchantress Returns” from the series called the Land of Stories by Chris Colfer. These books are about twins named Alex and Conner transporting themselves to a fairytale world.

In the book “The enchantress returns” Alex and Conner build the Wand of wonderment. The main characters of the story were the enchantress (from sleeping beauty), Alex and Conner, Jack (from Jack and the beanstalk), Goldilocks (from Goldilocks and the three bears), and Red (from little red riding hood). With a help of their friends Goldilocks, Jack and Red they build the wand of wonderment and defeated the enchantress. My favorite part of the book was when Alex defeats the enchantress without using the wand of wonderment. I enjoyed reading that part because Alex was very brave and had lots of courage when she stepped up to the enchantress. I wish I had the bravery and courage she had.

I would suggest this book to the people who enjoyed reading the Grimm books (A Tale Dark and Grimm, In a Glass Grimmly, and The Grimm Conclusion).

  7. First book I will talk about is Percy Jackson, House of Hades. The cool thing about this book is that it is a blend of Greek Mythology and modern times. My favorite character was Leo Valdez , one of the 7 from the Great Prophecy because he is the funny one and he can burn things with is hands. In the story Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase fall into Tartarus (the place where wicked beings get tortured.) while the other 5 from the Great Prophecy travel to the to the ancient lands while Coach Hedge ( a saytr.) , Nico di Angelo (son of Hades.) , and Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano shadow travels the Athena statue to Camp Half Blood.

  11. I read a few books during the winter holidays, and I enjoyed all of them but “All four stars” by Tara Dairman was the book I enjoyed the most.

This book is about a girl called Gladys who has been cooking since she was seven, secretly from her parents because her parents didn’t like cooking and hey hated great food. When she tried to cook with her parents, they mixed random things in, and tried to bake cookies in the microwave! (Not really possible) Now she’s eleven and she tried to make a dessert called, “crème brûlée” but things went wrong (she burned the curtains) and her parents didn’t allow her to cook anymore! (For 6 months!) She tries to let her parents allow her to cook again instead of waiting for 6 months.

I enjoyed this book because Gladys wrote reviews and rated the food she ate every day, and some were funny. I would rate this book, 9 out of 10.

I would recommend this book to kids who like cooking, since it’s about cooking.

I wish the author wrote the recipes of the dishes and desserts Gladys made because the desserts looked delicious.
