About this blog
This blog was started in 2010. Since that time, my own understanding and style of blogging has grown and changed. It will, no doubt, continue to change. In Grade 2 my students offered reflections on the blog. In the ELC, Kindergarten, I offered my reflections. Last year’s blog was a combination of my reflections and the students. I hope you enjoy our 2016-2017 3B journey into blogging this year.
About Audrey Brown
I’m very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I have a huge passion for teaching and learning together with children. I have been at Yokohama International school for 13 years, and have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and E1 at YIS as well as mixed age (3, 4, and 5 year olds) at Japanese yochien (kindergarten) and K, 1st, 3rd, and 4th at other schools. I have two daughters, both who have graduated from YIS. The eldest recently graduated from the University of Manchester, and the youngest is at the University of Sheffield, UK. My husband, (Russell Brown), is a mathematics teacher at YIS and also a very good guitar player! We really enjoy YIS and Japan, so if you are new to our school, we are happy to talk about all the things we love about this wonderful school, city, and country. Welcome to this 2016-2017 3B blog and archived blogs from years gone by.
