When we did this lesson at SAS, we realized that we didn’t need to make our own list of what makes a good blog comment because the students came up with the same list, but even better! I see a lot of similarities with your students’ lists.

I checked up(?) Trash-Tobi’s podcast. I thought his voice(speech) was pretty easy to follow. Even I thought the speech was clear and nice. But some times, he speaks fast and I couldn’t hear well. He included quotes on 1:17~1:23(?). On 0:50~0:56, He explains about the story(topic sentence?). They explained like, “This story is about 3 kids. And try to give back money ※△□-♨☆■(last part, couldn’t hear well)” This tells me that this book is about three kids trying to give back the money ________________. So this is what I learned from the book. Which is like Lisa’s.

I listened to the podcast ‘Trash’ by Tobi. I think his speech was clear and easy to follow, but sometimes it was hard to understand what he was talking about. He did use quotes, and they did connect their points. Same as Sayaka, I learned that the book is about three kids trying to give back the money, while people take away their money. I also listened to the podcast ‘Sources of Light’ by Aruna. She spoke loud and in a nice pace so I could hear her talking about something, but sometimes she was not talking clear enough, and she had to say some words twice so I couldn’t hear what she was saying. Also, it was obvious that some of her speech was cut out. She did use quotes, and she did connect her points. I learned that this book was about a 13 year old girl experiencing the time when Americans weren’t being fair with African people. I liked how she sometimes told about her own opinion.

I looked at Francisco about “A Long Walk to Water” and I really liked it because the words were clear and the background sound was very nice.

For advice then I would say that I wouldn’t want some little stops. I listened to ‘Trash’ by Tobi and I really liked it because the words were clear and the intro sound was very nice.

Also it was very nice were he tells you the meaning of the word “bahala”? which means large pile of trash and smells really bad. Also it was good where he doesn’t say suddenly the quote and before saying it said “I found a quote ….” and it really helps and is easy to remember. When I heard the quote I started to think I wanted to read that book.

I agree with Kanna, her voice is easy to follow but some parts you can tell that she uses voice over (for example in 2:07 there’s a pause where it shouldn’t bee and it kind of sounds strange)
She used quotations that are linked to what she is talking.
I learned that you should speak clearly so people can hear you easily.

The podcast from Tobi’s (Trash). His voice was easy to understand but his voice was in the same volume and he was little bit fast but still could understand what he is saying. His Main focus is the character and the setting.
And he mentioned the quote and I think it is related to the character (One of the main focus).
I learned the book is about three kids trying to give back the money but people trying to take away the money. I like how he speaks step by step and it was easy to follow.

I listened to Aruna’s podcast, Sources of Light. Her voice is usually slow, clear and easy to follow, but sometimes you can tell that she used voice over, and some of the words clash in with others. Another point is that she also mentions some quotes, and connected them to the story.
I learned that the main focuses of the book are the character, setting and photography, and that the book is about the unfair treatment of different races. I like the fact that Aruna talked about her opinion towards this, and made me think about how it used to be when different races were treated differently.
