MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL
- Greetings from Cambodia!
We are sending you greetings from Pursat Province, Cambodia! Today was our first introduction to the village of Tadeis and we got to work setting the rock foundation and mixing concrete for the pillars of the school building that will have classrooms for grades 4,5 and 6 students. We have some full days of work ahead of us and we will collaborate with the local workers and some of the school children. The next few nights will have us immersed in the village and we will camp out in tents.
Today we were also introduced to more of the HOPE International projects in Cambodia and are seeing first hand the impact of their projects for education, clean water and micro finance. We hope you all enjoy the long weekend break and we can’t wait to tell you more once we are back next week!

- Cancer Seminar
Did you know that one in two men and one in three women are likely to suffer from cancer? What are the important things to know if you or a loved one were to get the diagnosis?
The National Cancer Centre’s Dr Katanoda will be coming in next Monday, first day back from ski break to present a seminar. It will be conducted in both English and Japanese, at 1:20 to 2:00pm in the loft. Please come along!

- HS Book of the Day
This #hsbookoftheday is hilarious… in a British sort of way. Earth has been destroyed and Arthur travels space with, amongst others, a morose robot & the 2 headed, 3 armed ex-hippie president of the galaxy. This is Ms. Katy’s favorite book of all time, so please forgive the extended description. (Ms. Katy)
