MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

  • CLC Policy

A reminder to all students about the CLC policy. You should not be on your computer, unattended, before-school. If you are with a teacher, and you have permission, you may be working on school work. You should not be playing games before school in the hallways or in empty classrooms. I will be walking around before school reminding you of this periodically.

Thanks, (Ms. Madrid)

  • Message from Van der Poel

Good morning YIS!
ONLY THREE DAYS LEFT! Your donation so far has being amazing, thank you! keep at it!
Here is a joke to lighten the mood as we approach Christmas:

What do you call an elf who sings?

….
A wrapper!

The contribution you make does not have to be large amounts, small daily contribution will be more than enough from students:)

Once again thank you so much! (van der poel)

If you missed the daily yesterday, this is just a reminder that members of the HOPE Cambodia service group are hosting the faculty Lip Sync Battle Event on Thursday, December 7th from 4 pm – 5 pm after school in the canteen.

All money raised will go to the purchasing of materials and labor for school construction in Pursat, Cambodia, providing the education for the children who live far from their district schools.

To make this event happen, we will need teachers to sign up

If interested, please don’t hesitate to sign up here!

(Students are welcome to join too)

  •  Snow Club Winter Kick-Off Sale (Repeat)

Hello YIS,
Snow Season is upon us, and ski hills are set to open in the coming weeks all over Japan.

If you are missing some gear to hit the slopes like gloves, coats, helmets, goggles, pants or even a snowboard, the YIS Snow Club will be partnering with Burton Snowboards for their Winter Kick-Off Sale, this Saturday December 2nd, from 10AM to 4PM at YCAC.

Lots of Burton gear will be discounted up to 50%, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to Chill Japan, a Japanese NPO that helps children who have been affected by natural disasters by providing them with fun activities like snowboarding.

Tell your parents, tell your friends. See you on Saturday! (Mr. McKeown)
