- Message from Van der Poel
Good Morning YIS!
First of all the Van der Poel group would like to extend a massive thank you to the entire YIS community for their donations over the past two weeks to raise a grand total of 407,156 yen. This money will be allocated to the two homes and the school for the blind so is greatly appreciated. The donations also contributed heavily to the christmas party held on Saturday, going towards presents and stocking fillers. It was a fantastic day with great fun, food and performances with the children. It was great to have the opportunity to brighten their day with the help of your donations. (Van der Poel)
- Thank you to Van der Poel members and performers
A big thank you to all students who helped make this year’s Christmas party on Saturday a great success! We would like to recognize in particular all Van der Poel members who contributed from early November till Saturday. Students were busy collecting donations, wrapping presents, making decorations and on the day they showed great commitment towards their guests. Special thanks also go to guest performers who contributed their talents on the day in honor of the homes: Ben Zhang, Ruchir Varma, Pia Krickhahn and Julia Donkers, and Chiara Rodrigues and Eduardo Espinosa. Congratulations to all for a job well done! (Van der Poel supervisors)
