MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

  •  Veggie Drive

Good morning dragons!
We are from the Chiku Center advocacy group and just want to let you know that we will be running a veggie drive from February 12th to February 16th. This time of year it is very challenging for people living at or below the poverty line in Yokohama to remain healthy. Your donations of fresh vegetables can help fight off serious illness!

From Feb 12th-16th there will be green bins in the main lobby (foyer) and you can carefully place your veggie donations there. The Chiku Center particularly needs nice and fresh veggies that won’t rot quickly. We will come to your classrooms between February 5th and 6th to share more information.

Thank you! (Chiku Advocacy Group)

HIGH SCHOOL ONLY

  • ISA Trial Tests – Grade 9

Just a reminder that Grade 9 have the ISA trial this morning during your regular period one and two sessions, though the test will only take 45-50 minutes.

You will be doing the Mathematical Literacy for the trial and it won’t be scored. You don’t need to study to prepare for these tests, but you do need to:

– make sure your laptop is charged
– bring scrap paper, a pencil, ruler, eraser and calculator
– you will be using Safari, not Chrome

(Ms. Vitty)

  • Open Gym on Feb 6th Tuesday

There will be an Open Gym for Volleyball hosted on Tuesday after school from 4:15 pm at the gym!
Hope to see you there! (Saya from Dragon Council)

  • Varsity Hockey

Congratulations to the Varsity Hockey team who finished up an exciting season with a second place finish in the Kanto tournament at YCAC on Saturday. Saturday’s games started with a close game against CAJ where the deciding factor was an MVP performance from Goalie Margot Franchot. despite losing the final we pushed ASIJ close and challenged throughout the game and impressed the crowd with athleticism and team spirit. Congratulations on a great season! (Mr. Lorimer)
