15th November.  Written assignment – “A Discussion of the Character of Naledi in the novel’Journey to Jo’burg’ “.  After our very detailed planning and preparation, you are now working on your essay.  Your first draft should be ready for peer editing on Friday and you final draft should be handed in on Monday,21st November.

Golding’s View of Humanity

15th November.  You now have finished your anaylsis of the final chapters of ‘Lord of the Flies’ and we have watched and discussed the film.  On Thursday, we will draw our final conclusions about the themes, characters and the language and style of the novel and begin to prepare our next written assignment.

‘King Lear’

15th November.  For our lesson tomorrow, you should have prepared to the end of Act III in detail.  Be prepared to comment on characters, themes, motifs and language.  We will also watch Act II on DVD and study dramatic effect and the ways in which the tension is varied.
