Grade 3 children held a bake sale on the playground on Tuesday 8th May during morning recess.

This event forms part of the summative assessment for Grade 3′s unit of inquiry into How We Organise Ourselves. Having the bake sale at this time gives the Grade 3 children the opportunity to sell to a wide audience of YIS students across the age ranges during their morning break times. How the children use the profit from the bake sale will be up for negotiation, but last year’s Grade 3 children decided unanimously to offer the profits to the Tohoku relief fund.
