2C Starts First Unit in Drama

2C students have drama once a week for 45 minutes. We began our first unit of study on working together and cooperating to create. Please look at the pictures below.

Welcome to Drama

Grade 2 will be coming to the Black Box classroom each week for 45 minutes. This year grade 2 will focus on four units of study in Drama.

Drama Central Ideas
• Stories can be constructed, told and interpreted in different ways.
• Our experiences and imagination can inspire us to create.
• The creative process involves joining in, exploring and taking risks.
• We can respond to rhythm and music through movements.

Learners show an understanding that:
• through drama they can express themselves using their experience and imagination
• creating artwork is done independently and in groups
• they have a responsibility as an audience
• they are able to interpret and respond to their own artwork as well as the work of others
• they can use symbols and representations to convey meaning
