8 Extended Math Course Overview

Welcome to 8 Extended Maths!

Below you will find a general course overview for the topics and assessment tasks to be completed this year. Please note that this information will change and will be updated.

Please also note that there are 4 Criteria in Math. They are:

  • Criteria A: Knowledge & Understanding (8)
  • Criteria B: Investigating Patterns (8)
  • Criteria C: Communication in Mathematics (6)
  • Criteria D: Reflection in Mathematics (6)

You will also get a number between 1-7 based on your entire progress in Mathematics in all subjects. Below is the general breakdown of the scores:
  • 1 – Very Poor
  • 2 – Poor
  • 3 – Mediocre
  • 4 – Satisfactory
  • 5 – Good
  • 6 – Very Good
  • 7 – Excellent
