The Lighthouse Speaker Evening will take place in the loft of Yokohama International School on March 23rd, 7:00 pm. We are honored to have two guest speakers: Shihoko Fujiwara, Founder of NPO Lighthouse and Aiki Segawa, Manager of Public Relations and Advocacy.

Lighthouse is a non-profit organization (NPO) that is working to combat the issue of human trafficking in Japan. In this Speaker Evening, Ms. Fujiwara and Ms. Segawa will talk about human trafficking in Japan, including how Japanese people become victims of trafficking and some real life cases in which Lighthouse intervened and rescued trafficked victims.

Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of sexual exploitation or forced labour. Evidently, this is a serious issue that is occurring in Japan and throughout the world. People living in Japan are often unaware of this issue and the Speaker Evening is an opportunity to be informed about what is really happening in Japan. Come to the Speaker Evening, be informed, raise awareness of this horrific issue and make a change.
