We’ve had a number of computers seen without their protective cases, in one instance leading to damage to the computer. You must have the case at all times. If you don’t, this is a breach of the Responsible Use rules and could cost you money to repair the damage.

Secondly, you cannot use your computer anywhere at break time – this is time for you to get out in the fresh air or relax with your friends. (Mr. Snowball)

  • School’s energy use (carbon footprint..)

Energy use at YIS

Ever wondered how much electricity we use in the main building everyday? Here is a graph showing just that!

On an average school day, we are using about 575 kWh of electricity. Can we get ourselves to use only 550 kWh of electricity from next week? We can all start conserving electricity from today! Here are some tips to start you off!

Don’t overuse the heat
Put some socks on those feet!
And make sure you shut the door
So you heat what you need, and nothing more!

A big thank you to our grade 9 students who took on the MS Boys Basketball team. It was a really exciting game and it was fun to be part of the final game of the season for the MS team which I also thank for being a great and enthusiastic squad all season. Thank you to all the players and also to our coaches, score and time keepers and our supporting audience. Thanks again – LIN -kedin (Mr. Stanworth)
