MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

  •  GOOD NEIGHBOURS!

At the beginning of the year, your tutors spoke about the importance of establishing good relations with our neighbours. Unfortunately, we’ve already seem to have fallen short on this – trash including things like yoghurt containers have been thrown into the neighbours’ yard on the playground. Remember also, there should be no food on the playground in any case. (Mr. Snowball)

  • HEAT

Remember to check for the red flag in the nurses’ window. (Mr. Snowball)

  • Course Changes

Secondary Students: This is the final week in which student initiated course changes can be made.  If you are thinking of changes classes, please get all the paperwork done by Friday August 31st.

For HS students, course change forms are available from Ms. McDiarmid or Mr. Redlich.

MS students should see Mr. Snowball or Ms. Clifford. (Mr. Redlich)

  • Chess Club

There will be no Chess Club meeting today. Club meetings will begin next week in M301 and details will be announced in the bulletin.  Everyone is welcome; no experience necessary. Please see Mr Duffield for more information. (Mr. Duffield)

  • Activities (Repeat)

As YIS Activities begin next Monday, please make sure that you’ve indicated your interest in participating, especially if you are keen to play a sport, as we order buses for teams, based on the number of people who sign up!

A number of you were not able to access the links I’d sent out earlier, so please take a look at the website, the weekly planner, and the online expression of interest sign up form.

Thanks, have a great season! (Mr. Tracey)

  • Cross Country Running Team (Repeat)

We all want to get a little fitter and an excellent opportunity for this to happen is to take part in the school cross country running team. This involves running three times per week (high school) or twice a week (middle school) and being able to compete on Saturday in races against other schools. Our meeting practices are Tuesday and Wednesday after school and Thursday and Friday before school (ready to run from 8:00 am from the gym). If you have clashes and cannot make the required number of runs, please see Mr. Brown.

Make sure you are prepared to hydrate yourself!

First run is Tuesday 28th August from 4:00 pm at the gym.  Be there or be a regular quadrilateral!!

(Coaches: Mr. Brown Ms. Page Ms. Weston and Ms. Seldis)
