About me
Author: David Hilbourne - Date: August 10th, 2011
So, who am I? Well, I’m married (my wife’s name is Alyson and she is a teaching assistant in the Elementary School), I have two grown up children at university in the UK, I’m British (English in fact), and I love mathematics.
I’ve lived in many places around Asia and Europe — in order, these places are, London, Hong Kong, Vienna, Sri Lanka, Amsterdam, Bangkok and now Yokohama.
I’ve been teaching IB (both MYP and Diploma) since 1990. I am an IB Higher Level examiner (unfortunately this does not mean I know what questions are going to be on your exams — sorry grade 12!). I have a degree in Mathematics and a masters degree in International Education and a total of 32 years teaching experience (27 years overseas, and 22 of those years in IB schools like this one).

P.S. This is my first blog.
