I will be in Singapore for the GINSING conference with 8 high school and 8 middle school students.

Period 5 & 6: IGCSE 10: Complete both handouts I have emailed you yesterday. Both are due before tomorrow’s class, via email.

Periods 1 & 2: IGCSE 10: First, complete this google doc. Then, the teacher will give you a past paper to complete. Due next class.

Period 3 & 4: IB Geography: Practice test Answer the following IB style question in 45 minutes

  • What factors influence the extent to which the population of an area enjoy sufficient food?
  • Is hunger more a factor of politics and economics than the success of agriculture in an area?
Period 2: Watch We Feed the world. Take detailed notes on  the environmental, demographic, political, social and economic factors that have caused areas of food deficiency and food insecurity.
HL students: Also consider the impact of globalization, transportation and ICT on agribusiness.
Period 8: InS 9B: Continue your work on the Government comparison essay

InS 9, India Timeline

What do we need to know about India so that we can make a comparison with China?  Use your graphic organizer to help guide your research.  Think about how each government approaches such things as religious freedom, world trade, healthcare, ethnic minorities, poverty, censorship, public education, infrastructure, environmental issues, unemployment, etc.

Today:  Set up a timeline of modern day China and India from the late 1940′s to present day with a least 10 major events that occurred politically in both countries.

Due Tuesday November 6th.

IB HL, Friday November 2nd

We have completed units 1 and 2 of the HL extension.

You will have a test next week, November 9th, based on the IB Paper 3: One short answer and a choice of essays.
