- Kanto Plain Film Festival
Interested in showing your film in front of industry professionals?
The Kanto Plain Film Festival for 2012 is at St Mary’s this year on Saturday, May 19th from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Films can be submitted in any genre but should be no less than 3 minutes and no more than 10 minutes.
There will be awards for best Director, Editor, Camera, Script, Actor, Actress, Music

- Beyond Laptop conference
Today, YIS will is hosting over 50 teachers and administrators from international schools from SE Asia & the Middle East to discuss 1-1 laptop progams and associated issues. Please make them feel welcome should they visit your class. (Mr. Snowball)
- Family Fair (Repeat)
FAMILY FUN FAIR is in just two weeks on Sunday, May 6th. We still have several spots open for bands/vocalists/ and soloists. Vocalists interested in singing Karaoke with CD backing on stage are also welcome. If you are interested in performing please see Mr. Johnston in the Kirin music room as soon as possible. - MS Exams
Please check your email as you have been sent Exam Protocols. It is important you are aware of these before you begin your exams.
Exams start next Monday. Please check your schedule so you are prepared for the appropriate exam. You are to go to Home Room as usual and make your way to the exam room immediately after. You will not have time to go to lockers between Home Room and the exam.
Bring with you:
- pens/pencils (including spares)
- eraser / ruler
- a novel (in case your finish early)
- a calculator if required
You will go to normal classes after break on each day. (Ms Clifford)
- Announcement
The student council would like to thank everyone who helped out with the dance. The DJs were fantastic, the glow sticks made the dance look awesome, and everyone had a great time. Our next dance is in May and it will be the good-bye to Grade 8 dance.
Thanks to Naomi and Sophie for all their work on the Digital Citizenship bulletin board. It has been a lot of work and you guys were rock stars. (Ms. Madrid)
