There has been a great buzz in the air in our Grade 3 classrooms as students have been creating arcade games out of cardboard boxes and other recycled items – or designing signs for their planned drink or carnival snack.
Inspired by the story of Caine’s Arcade, the Grade 3 students will be organizing and holding a fair as our unit celebration for How We Organize Ourselves. They are going through the process of brainstorming possible types of games, gathering materials needed for the making, working collaboratively as a team to create their game, testing it out, and making tweaks or changes to improve their creation.
They are being focused producers as they prepare for their future consumers!
