Because of Mr. Terupt
In 4N we are reading a book called “Because of Mr. Terupt” by Rob Buyea. This book is kind of different from other chapter books because: “Because Of Mr. Terupt” is told in the different students’ points of view. There are seven kids in Mr. Terupt’s class: “Jessica, the new girl, smart and perceptive, who’s having a hard time fitting in; Alexia, a bully, your friend one second, your enemy the next; Peter, class prankster and troublemaker; Luke, the brain; Danielle, who never stands up for herself; shy Anna, whose home situation makes her an outcast; Jeffrey, who hates school.” “And Mr. Terupt their new and energetic teacher, seems to know how to deal with them all. He makes the classroom a fun place, even though he doesn’t let them get away with much.” We hope you read and enjoy Because Of Mr. Terupt!

Sports Day
Sports day is where you exercise and have fun. On April 29th Kindergarten to Grade Five had sports day. The parents came to sports day too. In Kindergarten~Grade Two Higashi won the 1st place and 2nd place was Kita, 3rd place was Minami and 4th place was Nishi. In Grades 3~5 Nishi won 1st place and Minami came 2nd place. Kita came 3rd place and Higashi came 4th place. At the sports day for Grades 3~5, we first did the cheer when we got there. Then, 4th grade did the distance run. After that, we did the ball scramble then, we did the tug-of-war. Next we did the javelin throw, then we did the sprint and finally we did the relay. At the relay Nishi won in 3rd grade, Minami won in 4th grade, Nishi won in 5th grade.
