Parent Sharing September, 2013

On the last Thursday of every month the children share their learning with parents. Even though this was the first parent sharing of the year the children took sole responsibility for setting up the areas.  The engagements chosen by the children reflected their important discoveries since joining kindergarten.

    • Jenga toppling (strategic placement of wooden blocks to cause a cascade affect)
    • Puzzles (spatial awareness)
    • Button sorting (mathematical reasoning)
    • Build a structure (planning, spatial awareness)
    • Audio books (reading skills, concepts of print)
    • Instagram (sharing and documenting learning through social media)
    • Box of bears (sorting by self-chosen criteria)

  1. Mari, it was fun building up your yellow tile structures together! Thank you also for showing me the table with the light! It was beautiful!
