It was wonderful to watch KP and KB create these beautiful whimsical houses. The chimneys were stuffed with M&M chocolate presents. The Christmas tree balanced on the roof and Santa carried a marshmallow sack. The children worked in complete harmony, sharing resources, ideas and laughter.
The children from the orphanages of Kofu Kodomo-en and Kodomo-no-sono, as well as the elderly of Hakujuso Home and the Yamate Kunmoin Christian School for the Blind will certainly enjoy them at the Van der Poel Christmas party this Saturday.
Thank you to Alex (Henry’s mum) for making the house and providing the decorations. It was wonderful to share this event with Grandparents, aunties and mums. We all marveled at the level of cooperation, laughter and self-restraint the children showed. No one ate any of the treats as they designed the house. At the end everyone enjoyed licking their fingers!
