The children made gingerbread houses to give the the local orphanage. Every year the high school children raise money for a party for the orphans. Hamish’s and Henry’s mums started the gingerbread tradition last year and brought it to Grade One.
The children who were in Kindergarten remembered this special event and shared their experiences. They told everyone it was lots of fun BUT you don’t get to eat stuff. It is not about you, it is about giving it to the orphans.
The class embraced the decorating and worked together to create fantastic creations… and then they picked six sweets for themselves as treat at the end!
