100 Days of School
The day had finely arrived. Since the first day of school at YIS, Grade 1 students had been counting each day they came to school. On Thursday 16th August, they counted one hundred days and the celebrations began.
The day started with Sojiro and Taiki’s fantastic PA announcement to the whole school about the “100″ Days of School celebration. 1S cheered after hearing the announcement and then put on their fancy “100″ glasses. With glasses on the students started to look for 100. The students were surprised to see how different 100 looks depending on the size of the item for example, 100 origami boxes were much bigger than 100 grains of rice.
The afternoon of 100 day was spent playing board games with 100, doing craft games with 100 and tracing 100 feet to see how far 100 feet lined up would go.
The celebrations were made complete with sharing Aika’s 100 chocolate kisses and some popcorn.
