School field studies day 1 (ARRIVAL IN URABANDAI)
School Field Studies – 1st day, Monday (10/18/2010)
Today, I had to carry a big heavy suitcase to the Tokyo Station. I couldn’t carry my bag over the stairs. At first, we (My mom, Estia, and I) left our houses at around 9:00 A.M. and arrived at the Tokyo Station at around 9:35 A.M. We were all supposed to meet at 9:45 A.M. at the central-gate but my mom did not know where it was and nor did Estia or I. All the people who mat at the Tokyo Station ended up meeting at the wrong central-gate and after a while, the teachers came and picked us up at the wrong central-gate and brought us to the right one. We had a delay of 15 minutes by meeting each others, so that meant we all met us at 10:00. Luckily, we made it to the shinkansen without being late and hurrying. We were in the shnkansen for approximately an hour and a half. I played a little card games, and took many pictures of people in the train. Ayaka was sitting next to me, Bradley and one other boy were in front of me. Some of the boys changed seats and so did Bradley and the other boy. Joy came in front of us, and Ayaka and I started tickling him. It was SO funny! Especially the way they laughed! Time flew so fast, we got off the station and went on a bus. The people were all separated. 7A boys went on bus 1 with 7B and 7A Girls went on bus 2 with 7C. There were bus guides explaining things by things on the bus. In the bus, Ayaka, William, Tomo, Ray and I were having so much fun by talking about stuff. We got off the bus about 45 minutes later and went to a restaurant. We had meat there, We had to cook it by ourselves. It was very fun and entertaining. After the lunch, we (Ayaka, Adina, and I) went to the shops. We all bought the same key-chains. I really love it! It was my favorite color – green! After shopping, we went to a place where people could play archery. There also was a place where you could touch animals such as pigs, rabbits, goats, and animals like that. I went renting a rabbit with Adina for 500 in 20 minutes. Ayaka said she didn’t want to so… Well Ayaka came in and took some pictures of me and Adina holding the rabbits. They were so cute! Mine was black and white! So fluffy… I really wanted to have them! Adina’s rabbit was a little bit too hyper and kept on running away from her and pulling the leash. It was funny, though. We had to catch the rabbit. It was not as easy as I thought it would be. As a prank, I put my rabbit on Andreas’ head! He was surprised and freaked out! I was LOLing! I took pictures of them, too! After all those fun time, we made butter making. We shook bottles full of milk and made butter. It was a hard time for me, but somehow I made it. It was delicious! I want to do it again! I am planning to do it sometime at home when I have time, too! Again, time flew fast and it was time to go. We rode on the same bus with the same members again and got off the bus in front of the hostel. It was very cold. We had to stand there for about 15 minutes. The teachers were explaining what we had to be careful of in there, and then chose our bunk groups. I got the room with 10 people, the biggest room! There were Roshni, Estia, Adina, Ayaka, Hae Bin, Ghada, Sarah, Utana, Sammie, and I. I was happy with my group! We fooled around so much, the teachers had to hell us to be quiet, a lot of times. After dinner, (which I forgot what we ate), we went to the onsen. (Which I am here in the onsen right now) I washed my head. It felt like refreshing myself on a computer or something like that. I was changing my clothes into my PJs. When I looked at the mirror, my hair was a MESS! One annoying boy made fun of me, but I didn’t really care no offense. (I won’t mention the name) He always annoys me. I guess it is time to go back to the hostel and sleep now. Good night!
