School year is almost over, so let’s talk about the memories of this year in Japanese.

Here are the things you will learn in this unit.
Asking what someone did on a particular day. Responding with at least 10 different activities when someone asks you.
Asking what something was like. Responding with at least at least seven different adjectives when someone asks you.
Asking someone what means of transportation someone has used to get somewhere. Responding with at least six different means.
Read and write short sentences which give information about things you did, what they were like and the means of travel you used to get somewhere.
Reading and writing all the hiragana and some katakana words without using the chart.
Some of the special events in the Japanese school year.

Summative Assessments

Monday June 3
Writing: Short paragraph for class newspaper about things you did, what they were like and the means of travel you used to get somewhere.

Tuesday June 4
Visual Interpretation:Look at the picture and find out what each Obento character did or didn’t.

Thursday June 6
Reading Comprehension: Read a paragraph about things someone did, what they were like and the means of travel he/she used to get somewhere

Friday June 7
Oral Communication: Dialogue

Those who have given their presentation should write their comments in TSC and assess themselves.
Also you are expected to help other students practice their presentation.

Students who were going to give their presentation today or next week should practice in pair.

Make sure : You look at the audience
Speak clearly and slowly
Make sure to start from the question you wanted to find out
for example 「フェアートレードと言う言葉を耳にした事がありますか?」
Use words such as まず、ところで、では、さらに etc.
Point the chart/photos in your poster as you talk about it
Be prepared to answer the questions about your presentation and your poster.

Your posters are on the small desk in front of the white board in class.

Gr.6 Friday May 10

Your party invitation cards are on the white board.

Amira, Mark, Idan, JB will read their party invitations in front of class.
Please use your laptop to video record your presentation. I will watch it later.
Use only Japanese to give information.
When someone says “もういちど いってください” you need to repeat what you have said.
When everyone in class took notes, you will ask questions in English.

Students
should take notes in English
Say “もういちど いってください” when you want the speaker to repeat.
Answer the questions only when your name is called. You do not shout your answer, please.

When there is still time, worksheet is on the board. Some students (Joseph and Aner ?)
have it already.
