Now – Answer this question – Examine the impact of cultural diffusion on one indigenous tribe. ( 10 marks ) * Produce a 1 page answer for this


Next look at  – Cultural Diffusion and Cultural Imperialism – define these terms

Often one culture will dominate or force it’s traits on another eg British in India = cultural imperialism

Cultural diffusion is how cultural traits spread – there are different methods and imperialism is only 1 way.( migration, trade, tourism, social media, entertainment etc are all methods )

March 14th – Diasporas

Now will will look at Diasporas – The movement of a group of people en masse ( as a large group) and how they manage to preserve their culture, as well as how their culture is adopted by the host nation – We look at Chinese in San Francisco USA and how they have influenced the American culture ( what the Americans have adopted from this minority group)
